Every year I make an excuse about why I don’t have time or energy to participate in NanoWrimo, but this year is the year! I’m going to cheat a little bit and have my outline started before the month begins because I want to be able to actually write my 40 000- 60 000 novel in just THIRTY DAYS.
That means I’ll have to average writing about 1 333- 2 000 words a day while working full-time, building my business, my blog and raising my toddler! If it seems like an unrealistic goal that’s because it is. I’ll have to start waking up at 5 am (or earlier if I fall behind) and going to bed only after I’ve hit my word count for the day.
To reach the unreachable I plan to write 450 words three times a day. This way if I get writers block or distracted I won’t want to throw in the towel. I’ll have plenty of time to catch up and decide what I want to write next. I’ll write before little one wakes up, on my lunch break at work, and after little one goes to bed. I can write as soon as I get home from work, but I’d hate to spend even more time away from my baby. I only get to spend a few hours with her a day and nothing is more important than the time I spend with her.
I’ll be updating this page with my word count daily as well as making some posts!
